Training

For the 2019 season I will be training under the direction and guidance of my good friend and former college teammate Zach Switaj. Zach and I will be following the same training protocols as we try to qualify the 2019 Half Ironman World Championship in Nice, France.

Location

I live, train, and work around Southeastern Massachusetts. You won’t find any big mountains or world renowned views around here, but it is where I call home. During the work week I try to start and finish all of my runs close to home to make sure I don’t waste any precious time commuting from one place to another. On the weekends I enjoy a change of scenery and will venture around New England to find a good trail. I often find new places in the areas around where friends and family live. Some of my favorite training spots in the area are listed below.

  • Quittacas Pond
  • Long Pond
  • Destruction Brook Woods
  • Copicut Reservoir
  • Massasoit State Park
  • Colt State Park
  • Acadia National Park
  • Borderland State Park
  • East Bay Bike Path

Cycling

Swimming

Almost all of my swim training takes place in the pool. I am lucky to have a YMCA facility with a pool just down the street from where I live. When the weather is nice and I have time for a trip I’ll jump in the water at one of these spots.
